Rochelle is also an Honorary Teaching Fellow in Optometry and Vision Science, and is a member of the New Zealand Association of Optometrists (NZAO).

Rochelle van Eysden is the Owner and Director of both Barrington Eye Care, and The Visionary Prebbleton, and has been providing the best in optical care to patients of all ages in the Canterbury region since 1998.

“I focus on providing a personal relationship with my patients and prefer to be involved in all aspects of your optical care to the practice. As well as performing the eye examination, we will assist you in choosing a frame that suits you and the best lens for your needs. We will also adjust the frame to fit you and dispense the glasses to ensure the optimum result. You can expect complete optical care at our practice.”

Katarina Marcijasz

Katarina graduated from the University of Auckland in 2018 and is therapeutically endorsed. She has worked throughout Wellington and in her hometown of Christchurch. Katarina’s interest in optometry began when she first got glasses at 11 years old.

She enjoys educating her patients about their eyes and working with them to create comprehensive management plans. Katarina has a special interest in working with the elderly and strives to provide a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere.

Your eyes give us information about your health that goes beyond vision – the blood vessels at the back of your eye give us information about your cardiovascular health and the optic nerve connects to the brain.
